09R, Advanced Handgun Retraining, is required for all private security services personnel registered in the category of Personal Protection Specialist or when in another armed category seeking advanced handgun designation to be added on their firearms endorcement. Includes 8 hours of firearms classroom training, range training and requalification as prescribed by 6VAC20-171-390 B for hangun. Must be completed within the 12 month period immediately preceeding the expiration date of his/her VA DCJS registration.
Student is responsible for providing own handgun, ammunition (minimum of 50 rounds), cover garment and strong side holster.
